Garden Club – Wendy Groom

The garden provides a lot of long forgotten lessons, which lead into various aspects of our children’s lives, for example it teaches a child about nature’s delicate balance and our impact on it.  It helps them learn about nutrition and what role that plays in our lives and provides a living laboratory where life’s lessons are experienced and learned. This is what we try to bring to the gardening club, an adventure which will further develop their hearts, minds, spirits and active selves.

Skills learnt: They will learn how to plant and how to recycle and how integral they are to making a change to our world.

In gardening club, the children do everything themselves so they get a very hands-on learning experience. Our lessons will go deeper than just teaching them how to plant a vegetable but will extend into recycling and the creating of a sustainable lifestyle.
